"Testimonial to Dr. Neil Dukes ..I want to say that Dr. Dukes saved my life so that I could continue to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse. You see, I had cervical radiculopathy with herniated discs in C5-6 and C6-7, which required surgery. I had bone plugs placed, spinal fusion and a plate to secure everything. What I did not know at the time of surgery or immediately thereafter, was that the surgeon had not been conscientious enough to clean out the debris left during surgery. Two months after surgery I was having the same numbness, tingling and pain (not as severe) that I had prior to surgery. I had almost no fine motor skills in my left hand, along with severe muscle atrophy, as well as decreased muscle strength. A friend of mine suggested that I see a chiropractor, and he put me in contact with Neil. Neil took x-rays and discovered the debris, which was still encroaching into my spinal column and nerve roots. He began to work with me, through adjustments, myofascial release, strength exercises and other therapies. Within three months, I showed dramatic improvement and continued to increase my strength. During this time of Neil’s diligent care, I was able to complete nursing school, without pain or tingling. The numbness is almost completely gone and my fine motor skills have returned, as well as increased strength in my left arm. I am currently working as a nurse in a family practice clinic, and absolutely love my new career.
